Colorado officials have announced a news conference for Monday morning where it is expected that Linda Lappe will be named the head coach of the women’s basketball team.
Lappe, 30, just finished her third season as head coach at Metro State and is a former CU player and captain of the 2003 Sweet 16 team. Lappe interviewed with CU officials last week.
Last season, Metro was 17-12 and 11-8 to finish third in the East Division of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Metro placed in the top three of the division all three seasons under Lappe, who is 50-36 at Metro.
