Big 12 women's basketball teams have received recognition in preseason polls released by Athlon's, Sporting News and Lindy's with Baylor ranked in the top five in all three.

Athlon's has six Conference squads rated with No. 4 Baylor, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 16 Oklahoma, No. 18 Iowa State, No. 21 Texas and No. 25 Nebraska.

Five squads are listed in Sporting News' preseason poll highlighted by the Lady Bears at No. 2. They are followed by No. 10 OU, No. 15 TAMU, No. 17 ISU and No. 19 UT.

Lindy's has four Big 12 teams ranked with three in the top 10. Baylor was again picked No. 2 while OU was No. 7, TAMU No. 10 and UT chosen No. 15.

Brittney Griner (Baylor) and Danielle Robinson (Oklahoma) were Preseason All-America First Team selections by all three publications. Sporting News named Danielle Adams (Texas A&M) and Whitney Hand (Oklahoma) to its third team.
