The Queen's timekeeper will give a talk at Watford Museum this week.
Steven Davidson, a fellow of the British Horological Institute, was appointed as a clockmaker to Windsor Castle in 1998 and is one of three clockmakers in the Royal Household.
He is responsible for clocks in Windsor Castle, Home Park, Frogmore House, Cumberland Lodge and Royal Lodge.
Mr Davidson will be speaking about the history and current use of royal clocks at Watford Museum, in Lower High Street, at 2pm on Friday, September 17.
