Clothing
- Shirts
- Pants/jeans
- Sweatshirts
- Jacket (suitable for rain)
- Socks/undergarments
- Shoes (already broken in)
- One nice outfit for our Broadway show (similar to what you might have worn to the Winter Dance)
Accessories
- Gloves
- Hat/cap
- Rain poncho or travel umbrella
- Backpack
- Sunblock
- Watch (must wear at all times; you may not use your cell phone as a watch)
- Bathroom Accessories
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Band-aids
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap/body wash
- Deodorant
Items for your carry-on (do not pack in your checked luggage)
- Glasses/contact lenses
- Digital camera with extra memory card(s)
- Digital camera charger or extra batteries
- iPod/MP3 player
- Emergency/life-saving meds (asthma inhaler, epi-pen, insulin, etc)*
Items NOT permitted in carry-on luggage
- Bottled water (or any other liquid larger than 3 oz.)
- Knives, blades, scissors, or other sharp objects (discovery of a knife, blade, or any weapon in the airport will warrant a phone call to your parents to come pick you up before you ever get on the plane!)
- Hairspray or other aerosols (bring pump hairspray only and put in checked luggage)
To give to Mr. Ippolito before boarding the bus to the airport
- Rio Norte Photo ID (give to Mr. Ippolito at pre-departure meeting)
- All medication (prescription or over-the-counter), EXCEPT life-saving meds which you will keep with you at all times
*As of the publication of this list on February 12, 2012, all emergency medication involving needles (Epi-Pen, insulin, etc) do NOT require a prescription or doctor’s note. You should be prepared to declare your needle-administered medication to the TSA screener before placing your carry-on items into the x-ray machine at the airport security checkpoint.
