ATHENS, Ohio – The Temple women's basketball team won its third straight game in convincing fashion as Kristen McCarthy and Shey Peddy scored 16 points apiece to help give the Owls (5-4) a 75-48 win at Ohio (2-5).

Peddy hit four of Temple's 10 three-pointers in the win. The Owls, who currently rank 13th in NCAA Division I in three-point field goal percentage, have now made 10 or more treys in four of nine games this season.

Victoria Macaulay scored a career-high 13 points off the bench, going 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-3 at the charity stripe. Wallace led the team with six rebounds and also finished with 10 points.

McCarthy scored eight points, including two three's, as Temple opened the game on a 12-0 run over the first three and a half minutes.

Ohio responded by cutting the margin in half with six straight points, but Temple quickly pulled back ahead by 12. The Owls still held an 11-point, 28-17 lead after draining their fifth trey at 7:31, but the Bobcats used a 7-0 run to pull within four, 28-24 with 3:10 remaining.

The Ohio run ended there, as Temple dominated the rest of the way and closed the half by out-scoring the Bobcats 12-1. Temple went 4-of-4 from the field during that run including 2-of-2 from behind the arc, and took a 15-point, 40-25 lead into the break.

Temple never led by fewer than 15 in the second half. Peddy hit a trey to give Temple a 20-point lead with 13 minutes on the clock, and the Owls led by at least 20 the rest of the way.

Wallace hit TU's ninth and 10th three-pointers of the game, the first at 7:35 which gave the Owls a 30-point, 68-38 lead, their largest lead of the contest.

Temple outrebounded Ohio 43-29 and scored 14 second-chance points to the Bobcats' one with a 13-2 edge on the offensive glass.

Temple will return home for its next contest, a 7:00 p.m. game against Hartford on Friday, Dec. 10 in McGonigle Hall.
