EUGENE, Ore. - Nia Jackson scored 24 points and Kristi Fallin came off the bench to hit five three-pointers to lead Oregon past Oregon State 81-72 Sunday before a Pac-10 record crowd of 12,320 at Matthew Knight Arena.

In the Duck women's first game in the new building, Jackson willed Oregon to its 12th win on the season thanks in large part to her own 7-0 run just before halftime.

After Angela Misa's free throw gave the Beavers (7-11, 0-7) a 39-37 lead with 2:37 to go, Jackson closed out the half by scoring seven straight points on a rebound bucket, a three-pointer and a pair of free throws to lift the Ducks to a 44-39 lead going into the break.

Jackson had 13 points in the opening frame, while Victoria Kenyon added eight as the Ducks (12-6, 3-4) shot 53 percent, 16-of-30, in the game's first 20 minutes. Jackson, a junior from Seattle, Wash., also had four assists and three steals as her 24 points was just two shy of her career high.

She has scored in double figures in 18 of her last 19 games. It was her sixth 20-point game of the season as Jackson has now led Oregon in scoring five of the last six contests.

Fallin was a spark off the bench in both halves. In the opening frame after Beavers closed to 16-12, the senior from Roseburg, Ore., nailed a pair of three-pointers to keep Oregon ahead early.

She proved even more crucial in the second half. Her first three after the break gave Oregon its biggest lead of the game, 58-47, with 13:57 left. Her final one with 6:09 to play boosted the Ducks' lead back to double digits at 71-61. Fallin finished with 17 points, hitting five-of-six three pointers.

As a team, the Ducks hit 13-of-30 three pointers (43 percent), compared to just five-of-22 for OSU (23 percent).

The Ducks also got 10 points apiece from Amanda Johnson and Jasmin Holliday. Kenyon paced the Ducks with eight rebounds, matching a season high. Johnson also had three blocked shots, while both Johnson and Holliday had three steals as UO won for the sixth time in the last eight meetings with its in-state rival.

Alyssa Martin led the Beavers with 21 points, while El Sara Greer added 16 and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Sunday's record crowd was the third sellout ever for the UO women's basketball team and broke the previous Pac-10 attendance record by nearly 2,000 fans. The old record was 10,525 who saw Stanford at California on Feb. 23, 2008.
