Communication has always been essential in any business organization, and the Internet has made it tremendously easy. We've gathered a selection of both free and pay tools to help businesses of any size communicate how and when they want.
Free Use

AIM Pro - A business class version of the well known AOL Instant Messenger. AIM Pro adds integration with Microsoft Outlook, desktop and file sharing, and one click access to WebEx meetings.

Eyejot.com - Allows you to record video messages without installing a client, and then lets recipients view them by just clicking on a link in an email. Messages can also be delivered to iTunes and iPods to be watched wherever you please. Great for when you need to add extra inflection to a business communication or even a personal email.

KonoLive.com - Currently in private beta, KonoLive is aiming to be a business class IM tool with collaboration tools that allow voting, sharing of files, collaboration and more. Kristen Nicole did a much more detailed explanation of all their features after their introduction. (Free for now, probably will cost when out of beta)

Skype For Business - Skype for business has all the normal features, but if you want to add calling credits and Skype In numbers, you can use their business control panel.
Pay Systems

12Planet.com - A secure instant messaging solution that stays that way by the messages staying just on the company intranet, or externally via a VPN tunnel. The system can work on a number of OSes including several mobile platforms.

Avaya.com - Provides solutions for customer interactions, remote offices and mobile workers.

Huddle.net - More than just a collaboration tool, Huddle will allow each member of a team to set up a profile about themselves, and you can also invite your Facebook friends to work with you on a project, opening up all sorts of communication possibilities.

Novell GroupWise - Allows collaboration and communication from a wide range of mobile devices as well as it's own instant messaging service which supports 21 languages.
