| According to Natalie, Hirokane Kenshi's long seller Shima Kosaku series was announced to be getting an anime adaptation. It will be animated in "a little bit unusual" style. Shima Kosaku series is about a life of a Japanese white-collar worker salaryman Shima Kosaku. The serialization of Shima Kosaku began in Monthly Morning magazine in 1983. In the first series, Kosaku was "Kacho (Section Chief)". He was promoted "Buchou (Manager)" (1992 - 2002), "Torishimariyaku (Assistant Director)" (2002 - 2005), "Jomu (Director)" (2005 - 2006), "Senmu (Executive Director)" (2006 - 2008), and finally became "Shacho (President)" in the current series. | I agree. I'll enjoy cute girls doing cute things more than a realistic plot. Yeah we all know that many titles tend to aim more on fanservice than the character quality and the plot, which is shit. For a plot like this, I'll prefer watching something not anime or whatever. |

Idk, sometimes there is a need for relapse from speculative fictions, and slices of lives of fictional characters can be largely entertaining as well. |

| gosh.... although I like this Shima Kosaku series, I also have concern about it. every japanese business men do not get promotion like him... besides, there is huge gap b/w Shima and present japanese youth. he is so-called "dankai no sedai" which is the group name of baby boomers generation born in late 1940s. Dankai no sedai - Japanese baby boomer Wikipedia lists the character of Japanese Dankai no sedai. -They had very hard competition for everything, they tend to be assertive but also nervous for equality. -Generally they are said to be independent and social pioneers. However, truly independent persons are a small minority; most of them are said to have "awaiting instructions syndrome." They can't fit into today's society, but in the high-growth period of the Japanese economy (60's - 70's), people who could be faithful to order worked fine. -They heard the horror of war from their parents and people around them, and so they are nervous regarding issues about war. -They are very competitive but also they have a serious self complex. but, as a human drama, shima kosaku series is very attractive. |
