    Fighting

Welcome to the third annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in Pokémon General, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This will be a tournament that lasts several months, where we'll pit almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. After we know the winner of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

If you haven't had the opportunity, please read the Rules/FAQ to find out more about the tournament:

    Spoiler:

Now that you know what the tournament is all about, what are you waiting for? Polls will remain open until October 23th, so get voting!

I've voted for Breloom because of how fun running it was competitively in Gen IV; it was the ultimate nuisance outside of those thoroughly aggravating walls. But it's also the only viable option on the poll to me, because I HATE fighting types; they're all ugly as sin. Even Meloetta's Pirouette form is ugly! So yes, Breloom it is...even if that's a little ugly too.

Let's see, I didn't vote for Throh, Sawk and the Makuhita line. {XD} I love a lot of Pokemon, really. :D

  • My fave fighter would have to be the Conkeldurr line, they've always been a bro, Nuzrun or not.

Also decided to vote for the Machamp line and the 'ions' (Dunno what they actually are XD). The ions for being my favourite legendary trio and the Machamp line only for No guard.

  • This was who I voted for.

Heracross: Unique type combination, and a notable hard-hitter.

Breloom: One of my fave 3rd Gen Pokemon, and often found itself a spot on my Hoenn teams, as far as my Ruby and Alpha Sapphire playthroughs are concerned.

Meditite line: Another one that I love the design of, and it's also very powerful thanks to its ability and access to Mega Evolution.

Riolu line: A fan fave, with great power and appeal to it.

Croagunk line: Another one with unique type combination, and I mainly loved it thanks to Brock's Croagunk in the anime giving me a laugh.

Scraggy line: One of my fave 5th Gen options here, mainly because it introduced another unique combination of type. I also love how it has useful abilities as well.

Mienfoo line: Another one based on design that made my list, it's a quick fighter but also very majestic.

Pancham line: One of my fave 6th Gen Pokemon, thanks to Serena in the anime and after my experience using Pangoro in X, it ended up becoming a true MVP of my X main story team.

Hawlucha: Another unique one, that's fast and strong. I also love how we now have Flying paired up with every single type.

And I also voted for all the starters that were listed. Chespin's line was the only Kalos starter I did not properly use yet, but you still have to love Chesnaught's design and the theme with the Kalos starters.

I voted for Lucario and Hawlucha.

    No real reason why.

  • Riolu line: Strong without losing the special stats, plus Aurora Sphere move, a rare special fighting type move.

Poliwrath: Interesting Type and I've always liked it for really no reason.
Primeape: Mainly because it was in the first episode of the Anime that I watched and because of a joke between my friend and I.
Machop/Machoke/Machamp: Machop for the same reason as Primeape. Machoke due to my battle against Byron in Platinum and Machamp because he looks badass and reminds me of Goro from Mortal Kombat. Anyone else like the detail of him wearing a championship belt.
    Breloom: For nostalgia.
Blaziken: It use to be my favorite Hoeen Starter and it's the Hipster of Fire/Fighting/
Hawlucha: It's a bloody mexican wrestler.

  • For Fighting, the following gets my votes:

Blaziken - Blaziken has always been my favorite starter from Hoenn, how can't I not vote for it?
Mienfoo line - The minute I set my eyes on Mienfoo, I immediately fell in love with it. Idk, maybe it's the vibe that it's emitting?

  • I voted for Poliwrath, Heracross, and Medicham. As a kid I remember Poliwrath beating Ash's charizard in the anime and always thought he was awesome. Heracross is just an awesome beast in the game. Medicham I've always liked because of the unique type he is and movelist.

Also I noticed that Gallade isn't on this poll? Is there a reason for that?

  • Also I noticed that Gallade isn't on this poll? Is there a reason for that?

Ralts and its evolutions were the winners for the Psychic-type poll, so there was no need to include them. That's why Gallade isn't shown, and same would apply for Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir when the Fairy-type poll comes. They already won a previous round so they don't need to be voted for again, and it'll put focus on other Pokemon of the type as well.

So basically, in the event a dual-typed Pokemon wins a type poll for one of their types, then they don't need to be included in the other type's poll.
