Brittney Griner (Baylor) and Jordan Hooper (Nebraska) were named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Players of the Week by a media voting panel for games from Nov. 22-29. Griner (player) earned her ninth career weekly honor while Hooper (freshman) was recognized for the second time this season.

Brittney Griner, Baylor, P, 6-8, So, Houston, Texas
Brittney Griner averaged 30 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.67 blocks in just 23.7 minutes of action in Baylor's three victories last week. She shot .729 (35-48) from the floor and hit .952 (20-21) from the free throw line. The 6-8 sophomore post poured in a career-high 35 points against Liberty. Griner became BU's career blocks leader, passing Danielle Wilson's 249, and moved up to No. 3 on the Big 12's career list. She now has 268 career blocks, which she accomplished in just 43 games. In addition, Griner recorded her fourth career triple-double with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks against Southeastern Louisiana. She is now one triple-double short of tying Shalee Lehning's (KSU, 2006-09) Big 12 record of five.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week
Jordan Hooper, Nebraska, F, 6-2, Alliance, Neb.
Jordan Hooper averaged 20.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in a pair of Nebraska victories last week. The 6-2 forward hit 19-of-25 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 three-point attempts in Nebraska wins over Washington State (in Pullman) and Nebraska-Omaha. Against UNO, Hooper scored a career-high 25 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the field. She also blocked a career-high three shots. Her 25 points came in just 24 minutes. In the road win at Washington State, Hooper scored 16 points, including three second-half putbacks, to help the Huskers to victory. Hooper also grabbed six rebounds and added two steals.
