AMES, Iowa - If ever a game was a tale of two halves, it was No. 16 Iowa State's 64-43 Big 12 victory over Nebraska Tuesday in Hilton Coliseum. Kelsey Bolte had 22 points to lead a Cyclone tsunami that overwhelmed the Huskers in the second half.  By the time Bolte hit her fourth trey for a 64-37 Iowa State advantage the Cyclones, who trailed 26-21 at halftime, had outscored Nebraska 43-11 after intermission. The Cyclones are now 13-3 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12. Nebraska falls to 10-6 and 0-2. The win was Iowa State's 19th straight homecourt victory.

Bolte hit all seven of her second-half shots. The senior has averaged 18.5 second-half points per game in Big 12 after tallying 19 against Baylor and 18 tonight.

Anna Prins added 18 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for Iowa State, which plays at Colorado Saturday at 5 p.m. CST in Boulder, Colo.

Iowa State came out and outscored Nebraska 19-4 in the first of seven mintues of the second half. When Bolte hit her second three within 1:35, Iowa State led 33-28 with 16:10 left. Bolte later launched another successful three before the Cyclones extended their lead to 40-30 on an Anna Prins basket underneath with 14:13 left in the game. The Iowa State second-half run reached 30-11 as a Bolte drive put the Cyclones ahead 51-37 with 8:19 remaining. By the time Hallie Christopherson pivoted and laid in a bucket and Nebraska called timeout, the lead was 57-37 with six minutes to play in the game.

Neither team started fast but Nebraska got out to a 7-0 lead. It was 9-0 before Anna Prins scored twice underneath on passes along the baseline, the first with 14:42 remaining in the first half. The Huskers hit a pair of treys to lead 15-4 at the 12 minute mark of the first half. Nebraska was up 17-8 with 8:42 left before Iowa State steadily whittled away at the Husker advantage. A Husker drought that lasted six minutes helped, as the Cyclones got back in the game and closed to 19-17 on a Chelsea Poppens layup with 2:59 left in the first half.

When Anna Prins hit Iowa State's only three-pointer of the first half, it marked the 500th straight game the Cyclones have had at least one trey, dating back to 1995.  But it was the only Cyclone make beyond the arc in the initial 20 minutes while Nebraska hit on 5-of-12 three-point attempts, two by Lindsey Moore and the Huskers led at the break. Moore led Nebraska with 13 points.
