| According to the Hollywood Reporter, TV Tokyo and the advertising agency Nihon Ad Systems (NAS) have terminated the license contract of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series with 4Kids Entertainment and have sued 4Kids for illicit transactions. 4Kids allegedly manipulated the accounts and paid a significantly smaller amount of royalties to TV Tokyo and NAS than they should have paid. For example, 4Kids had hidden their contract with FUNimation and more than 45% of the package sales from the two Japanese companies. 4Kids had been holding the worldwide distributing licenses of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series for more than ten years and has earned $152 million. It would me much easier knowing only a name for each character This is what I think: a. Change 'difficult-to-read' name > kids can spell > they will asking TCG from their parents b. | Hm not like anything really good came out of 4kids to begin with. Still 4Kids and all other companies using trick and deception for revenue gain should be locked up. If there is anything in this world I hate it is trick/deception, using questionable methods to gain profits from consumers and people who are living a comfortable lifestyle yet still are not satisfied enough to avoid using such methods for more profit. I blame this on the all so bright idea of the " competitive economy". It has turn this place into a dog eat dog world where you absolutely have to compete with other businesses for profits even if you have to resort to questionable methods. You either try to bring your business to the top or you become fresh meat for the other businesses who would be more than happy to throw you out of the competition. |
