Helado Negro, born to Ecuadorian immigrants in South Florida, is a one-man band for the digital age. Helado Negro (Roberto Carlos Lange) performs in English and Spanish, with his dancing Tinsel Mammals, and cites the influence of the electro and Miami-bass he heard on the radio in his youth for his mesmerizing rhythms, loops, and hair-raising melodies.
