Japan's Animation TV Ranking, April 18-24

Producer Kōji Yamamoto revealed on his Twitter account on Monday that Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina timeslot received a high rating of over 5.5 during its early Friday morning timeslot on April 29. Although he acknowledged that Friday happened to be Showa Day (the start of the Golden Week holidays), he characterized the rating as good after the timeslot earned its lowest rating to date in March. The highest average rating that Noitamina has ever received for an episode in Tokyo's Kanto area was 6.6 (with a 7.4 instantaneous high rating) with the ninth episode of Nodame Cantabile: Paris in December of 2008.
The television drama adaptation of Motoka Murakami's Jin manga aired on Sunday, April 24 at 9:00 p.m. as the #3 drama of the week. It earned a 18.4 rating.
Young Black Jack, Kentaro Otani's live-action prequel to Osamu Tezuka's Black Jack medical manga with Masaki Okada, ran on Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 p.m. with a 13.3 rating.
Another Gantz, a director's cut of the first of two live-action films based on the Gantz manga, aired on Friday, April 22 at 9:00 p.m. with a 12.2 rating.
Nodame Cantabile Saishū Gakushō Kō-hen (Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score Part II), the second film in a two-part theatrical finale inspired by Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile musical romance manga, also aired on Saturday, April 23 at 9:00 p.m. with a 12.1 rating.
Comedian Hiroshi Shinagawa's 2009 film adaptation of his own autobiographical Drop coming-of-age novel and manga, aired on Friday, April 22 at 3:20 a.m. with a 1.4 rating.
