MARCH 9, 2011

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“Paper Cut” symbolizes the deep budget cuts being proposed by Florida Governor Rick Scott which impact not only the arts, but education, public transportation and more.

By cutting into the 166 pages of Governor Scott’s proposed budget, opposite budgets of impacted agencies such as the City of Orlando, City of Belle Isle, Orange County, Orange County Public Schools, United Arts of Central Florida and others, this project literally creates a visual of who is being “cut out” by these proposed cuts - the citizens of Florida.

Presented as part of the League of Women Voters of Orange County Hot Topics Luncheon program on the impact of state budget cuts on Central Florida. Sponsored by United Arts of Central Florida.
