are you sure you are getting the proper value for your recharge?

i am sumit roy from west benagl and i am using an aircel prepaid connection for about past one year. i was recently suspiscious about my mobile balance and i kept track of my usage and balance. my doubt came true when i got some message saying 'thanks for using aircel services' and after checking my mobile balance, i found that 5-10rs had been deducted from my balance. upon contacting their customer service, i learnt some vas has been activated on my number and the amount that was deducted from my balance was for the sake of it.

this balance deducting and activating unwanted vas became a regular practice and i suppose i have lost 20-50% of my deposite was misused same way.

most prepaid mobile users are not aware of such cheating, and when a aware customer contacts customer care for an explanation, they get an answare that 'a VAS has been activated on your number, it is a one time charge and it wud'nt happen again!'  or 'your deducted balance will be refunded within 48hrs' however these kinds of cheating goes on, and most mobile users actually don't get the proper value for money for their deposits due to their unawareness.

people not only recharge their mobile, but they also deposit their trust as balance to these mobile telecom companies, and the money is very hard earned for some people. but many cheap telecom companies take the dishonest way to make money stealing balance from their customers and people become victim of such situations unknowingly.

so my petetion to TRAI and DOT, as being the governing and regulatory authority of telecommunication service of India, is to

1. stop such VAS services or at least make some strict law regarding transparency of VAS
2. make all mobile telecommunication company pay their customers the amount they deducted dishonestly from the beginning as a way of compensation.

please support my petetion so that there wud be clean and honest telecom service across india and prepaid users will get the proper value for money for the money they pay.
