Mobile Learning Experience 2013 CFP
Thank you for your interest in presenting at Mobile Learning Experience 2013. As the premiere conference dedicated to mobile learning in K-12 education, Mobile 2013 will offer dozens of quality breakout sessions September 16-18, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona at the Westin La Paloma Resort. Times are 1pm-7:30pm Monday, 9am-4:45pm Tuesday, and 9am-3pm Wednesday.More information will be available at http://mobile2013.org in the coming weeks.

Breakout sessions are one hour in length, so please propose a session that fits into that amount of time. If you have too much to jam into one hour, consider dividing up the topic and proposing two sessions.

Please make it clear in your description if your session might be more appropriate to beginning, intermediate, or advanced users. We want conference participants to have as much information as possible when selecting sessions to attend.

The deadline for presentation applications is June 17, 2013. We will contact you prior to June 28, 2013 to let you know if your proposal has been accepted. If accepted, we will ask you to provide a URL for conference participants to access your session's handout, notes, and/or slides.

We are particularly interested in sessions with a focus on BYOT in schools, Common Core State Standards, project-based learning, collaborative learning, open educational resources (OER), and the management of  technology. We are also looking for sessions that are subject-specific (for example, math activities for primary students using iPad, using Chromebooks to improve middle school writing).

Remember, participants in your sessions won’t be happy with sage-on-the-stage style lectures. Mobile 2013 will be accepting presentations that are interactive, foster conversations, and inspire.

We will be using the exact wording you provide on your application to create Mobile 2013’s program, so enter your information as you would like it to be represented. Please use proper capitalization for names and titles. Be sure to copyedit your work using proper grammar and punctuation. We thank you in advance for your proofreading.

Mobile Learning Experience 2013 is not able to pay presenters’ expenses. If your session is accepted, the lead presenter will receive a code for a $75 discount on registration. Mobile 2013 will not be offering any refunds for those that register at the listed rates prior to being selected as a presenter–so do not register until after you know if you've been accepted to present.

Registration rates are:

    • Early Bird (until July 12) registration with overnight accommodations: $675
    • Early Bird (until July 12) registration without overnight accommodations: $525
    • Regular registration (until August 19) with overnight accommodations: $875
    • Regular registration (until August 19) without overnight accommodations: $725
