Moustache Wax Tip #8
Many people hear “moustache wax” and picture slick looking Snidely Whiplash curls. While that’s a big part of the fun, the slick look is not for everyone and is not always for all occasions.
Want to hold a more natural flowing look in place? Here’s how.
The best way to get a natural look to your handlebar is to apply the wax while your ’stache is still damp. Spread it through with your fingers from the middle out towards the ends like you usually would, and then comb it through thoroughly in the same direction.
Now, blow dry it with a hair dryer as you continue to comb outward. The wax will hold everything in place but your ’stache will have a more natural, flowing, greaseless look to it.
To get the ends to curl, do everything described above and, one at a time, wrap each tip up around something round (a lip balm tube works great), hold that in place with one hand, and blow dry into the curls with the other. After a bit, turn off the hair dryer, remove whatever you were using as your “roller”, and you’ll have a natural looking curled up ’stache.
