I don´t know how to make the prerooted image, someone can do it with the .ftf i´m going to upload?Thanks

Do you know when rahul.pillai will be posting the pre-rooted? if it's going to be in the next 24 hours then I'll wait and flash that instead!

the prerooted files are only for unlocked xperia arc ?
cause i have my arc and this is locked and i want to flash this file too :confused:

rooted my .283 arc with Bin4ry script, runs perfectly fine, no need to wait for the pre rooted image :) n im on unlocked bootloader..

im having problems with flashtool at the moment it says


ERROR - Please install or reinstall device drivers from drivers folder

wait i think ive got it working

I miss the slip mode already den the new folder thing

According to the CDA it's Generic Denmark.
Are you sure it's Generic Global?

    Note:
    .FTF->Locked devices-> no root
    .img->unlocked devices-->root
    Flash first the ftf file, then the rooted img

    HOW TO?!

    So the way to do this:
    THIS WIL ERASE YOUR DATA!

    First flast the full .tft img through flashtools
    Download the flashtools files, download the .tft from first post
    Put the downloaded .tft in the firmaware folder from flashtool
    start flashtool
    press flash
    Hold the BACK button and connect the cable when asked. (green led)
    wait till flash complete.
    you now have a generic install

    Then flash the pre-rooted system.img
    Download Android SDK, download pre-rooted system.img from the first post
    rename your downloaded img (LT15i_4.0.1.A.0.283_Generic_Global_system.img) to system.img
    shut down phone (pull battery or something)
    start in fastboot mode by holding MENU and plugging in cable (blue led)
    Start command prompt in the android SDK folder (hold shift, right mousclick background, open command window here)
    use:
    Code: 
    fastboot devices
    to check if your device is detected
    use:
    Code: 
    fastboot flash system system.img
    wait for it to finish
    You now have a rooted install

    Optional: flash the new Doomlord kernel
    You will lose phone vibrate and pc connection! you have been warned
    Downlaod the lastest kernel from here: link
    put the boot.img in you Android SDK folder
    start command window
    use:
    Code: 
    fastboot flash boot boot.img
    wait a second
    DONE!
    You now have a rooted generic with custom kernel

    A bit of searching wouldnt hurt anyway ;)
    Also most of the code and commands I give you above come from that thread!

    for those with wifi not working after flashing only the .img it's because the kernel is not upgraded, only the your system.

    for unlocked bootloader, best way to get everything upgraded is to flash .ftf first,
    then fastboot .img after that, you will get rooted, with new kernel.

    for those who have relocked your bootloader, you can unlock again the same old way.

    make sure imei used is the FIRST 14 digits
