Amazon unveiled the Kindle Fire tablet and now available for pre-order for $199

Amazon, yesterday, unveiled their very own Android powered tablet, the Kindle Fire. During the unveiling they also showcased and announced two other devices namely the Kindle Touch and the Kindle Touch 3G (but they are eBook readers so I won't be focusing on them). The Kindle Fire is now available for pre-orders for onyl $199 and should start shipping come November 15th. For those who wants to place their orders for the tablet head over to Amazon.com.

The device's specs is very scarce but you can go to the same link above where you will be able to pre-order the device for Amazon's list of it's technical specs. But of course, I will be mentioning some of it here.

The Kindle Fire is running on Android. Seriously, it does run on Android but Amazon has heavily customized the OS that it ultimately looked like it does not run on Android. It also sports a 7" IPS (1024x600) touchscreen display, 8GB of internal storage, WiFi, 3.5mm headset jack, and a microUSB 2.0 port are just the specs disclosed by Amazon.
