The good thing about having lost weight as I’ve gotten older, is that I’ve lost weight. The bad thing is that I’ve gotten older. What’s that saying? Every time one door opens some troll pokes you in the eye with a sharp stick. Or something like that.
This week I’m in New York reporting to you live from Fashion Week 2011.
Because I’m so into fashion. I mean, aren’t you sick of me blogging about fashion all the damn time? I can only ask that you bear with me once more.

I combed the entire city yesterday looking for that perfect ensemble to show you. My favorite “outfit of the day”, if you will.
And I found it.
And I think you’ll agree.
Nothing screamed “fashion statement” better in New York City yesterday, on Sept 11, than these two inspired pieces:

I’m pretty sure that actually IS Steven Tyler. Life on the road is freaking hard, especially when you make questionable choices such as drugs, liquor and those pants.

I know! The fly! I didn’t notice it myself until after I’d posted it. I have no idea what the heck that is.
I live right near an art school! All of the spectacularly dressed young darlings make me think that I took a ride in Bill and Ted’s payphone. Depending on how I feel that day, my heart is filled with love for them and their youth and expressiveness or a sour and bitter yearning to prove I wore big fat plastic bracelets and high tops oh so much better back in the day. Oh yeah, you think I’m a dowdy old lady leading a pack of kids around like a bunch of ducks, but back in the day my hair added a full head to my height and my choice of vests and hats inspired fear and envy in an entire high school.
