MongoDB 2.0.0-rc0 has been released and is ready for testing.
This is the culmination of the 1.9.x development series.

Excellent news Eliot, can you provide a document or link when tests
are explained?
I want to test it on my Fedora 15.

Great stuff.

I don't see any mention of new operators like $and in the release
notes, there probably should be some mention of them as they are quite
important for some of us ;)

How's the tagging feature being integrated with mongos in terms of
writes and reads? Is 2.0 going to have anything in place in that
area? Any plans for the following release?

I'll put some thinking on modeling the driver interaction over the
weekend, and would appreciate some feedback on that area.
