Elyes Gabel has been cast in Paramount’s World War Z, a post-apocalyptic thriller starring Brad Pitt.
Marc Forster is directing the movie, an adaptation of the 2006 Max Brooks novel of the same name that depicts a global zombie take-over 10 years after the
fact.
Gabel
, who recently appeared as Rakharo in six episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones, will play a character named Fassbach, although little is known about the role. The film, also from Skydance Productions, features a cast that includes The Killing star Mireille Enos and James Badge
Dale.
Z
, which was written by Matthew Michael Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski, is currently in production and will be released next
year.
Gabel’s
previous credits include a stint on Showtime’s The Borgias and the BBC medical drama
Casualty.
He
is represented by Paradigm, U.K. agent Nicki van Gelder and manager Nicolas Bernheim.
