PyConZA 2015 Volunteer Form
Are you a student or part-timer looking to get involved with a growing technical community and learn more about a versatile language that is taught and used the world over?

We are looking for a few volunteers to assist us with videoing talks at PyConZA 2015 on 1 & 2 October at the Wits Development Hub.

We are looking for (ideally):

- students or recent graduates who aren't working full-time yet
- somebody comfortable and trustworthy to operate technical equipment
- a person who is patient and enduring -- videoing talks is a full day of work

What you will be doing?

We have arranged to our talks recorded by Carl from Next Day Video. Carl is very experienced professional, but he needs a few volunteers to assist him -- even he can't be in two places at once and talks require full-time attention.

Carl will give a brief training session. If you're comfortable with gadgets, it should be pretty straightforward. Carl has trained lots of volunteers and they've all managed fine.

Note: This is a volunteer position and there will be no payment for services. You will get be at the conference, see a lot of talks, and be given lunch and snacks though. You'll also get to meet a lot of people from a growing tech community and network with our sponsors: Takealot, Oracle, Praekelt, BBD, Amazon, SunGard and the PSF.
