Heather Graham has been cast opposite Rob Corddry in the Fox pilot Little in Common.
The project, which failed to earn a series pickup at the May upfront presentation to Madison Avenue, is being retooled and could make its way to Fox’s planned two-hour midseason Tuesday comedy night.
Graham replaces Paula Marshall (Gary Unmarried) who played the role in the original pilot, which revolved around a group of adults who become unlikely friends because of the connections among their kids. Alana Ubach, Kevin Hart and Gabrielle Union co-star.
For Graham, the project would mark her first small-screen gig since ABC’s short-lived comedy Emily’s Reasons Why Not in 2006 as well as a guest-starring role on Scrubs. Her big-screen credits include The Hangover and Miss Conception.
Fox on Wednesday revived its once-canceled workplace spy comedy Breaking In, starring Christian Slater, which could join Little in Common on the Tuesday midseason block.
From Warner Bros. Television, Rob Thomas created and penned the pilot.
