Lea was amazing but the venue needs improvement

by Rose on 4/22/24The Event at Graton Resort & Casino - Rohnert Park

Lea was amazing. Strong vocals, entertaining, and all-out professional. I also like the background visuals. I hope the venue will adhere to a strict cut-off time when letting guests in. It takes away professionalism and distracts and robs the seated audience from enjoying the performance when the show starts because there are so many people who are trying to find their seats. If they are late, they have to wait until the break before they can go in.

    Lackluster Performance

    by Lee on 3/28/24

Zero energy just sat on the chair. It seems not proud of her Filipino heritage. Spew of her achievements. Save your money and time. We saw her at Rady Shell , San Diego. Sorry, just being honest. Thanks.

    A Dream Come True

    by Matthew on 11/24/22

I saw her perform live at CHARTS in North Little Rock, AR, on April 25, 2022. I absolutely loved hearing a mixture of songs that she's never performed before and the classics that she is most recognized for. No matter what the song or genre, it is always such a pleasure to hear her take on it. I also loved hearing her explanations for why she chose to include each song, giving so much more meaningful impact to the performance, such as her tribute to healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic or the tribute to Stephen Sondheim. She has maintained control over her vocal dynamics and vibrato, and it is just absolutely magical to hear her perform live and captivate an audience. Anyone who doesn't smile, tear up, or feel goosebumps at least once during her performance should seek help immediately. Keep singing, Lea!

Nice....but not what I came here for

    by timoh808 on 5/21/22

This is not so much a review but rather a heads up to future concert-goers. If you want to hear Lea Salonga cover songs from Britney Spears, John Lennon, Whitney Houston, and Cyndi Lauper -- this is the show for you! She is still an incredibly talented performer fully capable of singing a wide variety of popular music. But if you want to hear the songlist she has built throughout her amazing career from Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and Disney movies then stay home a save your money -- all of those were reduced down to a short medley that included 45-second snippets of On My Own, I Dreamed a Dream, A Whole New World, and Reflection....she'd get to what should be a climax and then transition to the next song. It makes no sense to me why she chooses at this point in her career to deny fans what we want to hear the most -- full versions of the songs that made her famous.

    It was pretty good

by Scott Z on 5/13/22Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas

I thought she was pretty consistently on key and she has a nice voice, but her vocal range isn’t that great. I still had a good time overall and enjoyed all the songs from her Setlist.

    Fantastic singing!

by Vee on 5/11/22Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas

We had a great evening listening to a pure and beautiful voice. No fuss, no muss, no electronic doodads to distract from Lea’s voice. Truly enjoyed the evening and will see her again when our scheds jive. My hubby was expecting at least one Filipino song, but the songs she sang were more than satisfactory. Her choice of instrumental artist was great as well. They all performed beautifully, in perfect harmony. The venue was great but I think the Encore Theater could tweak their acoustics a bit better. We actually was blown away by Lea’s last song having gone out of the theater already after the first encore. When we realized she sang another song, we sat down outside in the exit hallway and enjoyed her singing even more. Thank you for a very lovely evening. Lea…keep singing and sharing your God-given talent. You come across as very sincere and we appreciate it very much.

Las Vegas Concert 8 May 2022

by John on 5/11/22Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas

All in all, I enjoyed seeing Lea in Las Vegas on 8 May 22. However, I wish she would have sung more of her songs from earlier times. Lea herself referred to it as "her stuff". I would have liked to hear more of "her stuff". Some of my favorites are: "The Journey", "I'd give my life for you" and "A whole new world" Lea never sung any of those three songs. I was going to yell a song title out to her, but my wife said don't do that. Lea has already chosen the songs she would sing for the evening. She's still the best!

    Disappointed

by Eric Las Vegas on 5/11/22Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas

I have always been a huge Lea Salonga fan for years as a Filipino American. I was disappointed with her performance. He voice was solid however she didn't seem to sing with any heart. I also found it disappointing that she didn't sing one song in her native language. Honestly I felt like she just put togther a quick performance to generate a paycheck
