A Hub for the NYC Science Community
I'm creating an online hub for the community of New Yorkers interested in science: journalists, scientists, students, post-docs, teachers, professors, environmentalists, doctors, and anyone else who likes star-gazing, bug-examining, or The Science Times. This one-stop hub might include an events calendar, news, job listings, features on people and places in the city's scientific community, and a forum to share information and expertise. But it will only work if you find it useful and engaging, so I hope you'll share your thoughts.

If you're a resident of the greater New York area and you're interested in science in any way, please take 5-8 minutes to fill out this form. I encourage you to share it with anyone else who might be interested (via email, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.). None of the questions except the first is required, but complete responses are appreciated.

This is a project of Lauren F. Friedman (http://www.laurenfriedman.com). I'm a science journalist and graduate student. Any questions? Email lauren [dot] friedman [at] gmail or find me on Twitter (@fedira). Thanks for your time!
