Product Description

The Spectrashell Passport Case from Lavigne Labs is water-resistant, designed to protect your passport from physical damage and accidental exposure to liquid. It’s made of strong ABS plastic and will hold up to lots of abuse.

A single passport, up to 46 pages will fit inside. A standard U.S. passport is 28 pages. A non-standard 52 page U.S. passport won’t fit. The global standard passport size is 125 × 88 mm (4¹⁵⁄₁₆ × 3⁷⁄₁₆").

If you have a passport issued before 2014, measure carefully.

WATERPROOF OR WATER RESISTANT?

The Spectrashell Passport Case is water-resistant but not waterproof. If you’re going swimming, don’t take your passport with you.

That being said, every effort has been made to protect your passport from storms, spills and puddle drops. If you close the case properly, your passport should be well protected. Don’t push your luck, treat your passport as the precious cargo it is.

I have 26 sheets in my passport with a couple of visas attached so those pages are a little thicker. The case closes, but does not seal. I got it to keep my passport flat so the edges don't curl and it does that well.

    Although these are pretty plain, this was the only cover that is hard shelled and durable. It's slim and not much bigger than the passport itself. It's nice to be able to throw the case in my bag and not worry about pages getting folded or damaged.

    Had enough room to fit my passport plus 2 cards in it. There was probably some room for a few bills too if i wanted. Had a good close on it and was easy to open and close. Dropped it in the water for giggles to test it. Went under water and popped back up and floated which actually surprised me, I expected it to sink. No water got in. WITH THAT SAID, please keep in mind this is water RESISTANT and NOT water PROOF! I was just testing it out of curiosity, It seems in a worst case if it ends up submerged for one reason or another it can hold up at least initially but I would not suggest prolonged submersion.

    This is the perfect size for a passport. The case is not bulky, and it appears it will protect against rain and accidental spills. Just a note in case you didn't thoroughly read the description. The case is water resistant, not waterproof.

    I'm taking this on my cruise to Alaska, and I figured we would run into some weather. There are parts of the trip where we are required to carry our passports, which is not usual on other cruises I've been on in the Caribbean.

    Well... it's been a year or so since I bought this and I haven't managed to dunk it in the water yet, and hopefully never will. So I guess I'll have to review it based on its other merits.

    It closes solidly but is easy to get into. Fits my passport perfectly, without getting it in/out being a hassle. I got the blue in hopes the color would be bold enough to find easily, but not obnoxious. Worked out exactly as hoped.

    And finally, the honeycomb texture means this is easy to keep ahold of ... no worries on it slipping out of your hands.
