Watchwords - What words in climate and sustainability debates deserve a closer look?
Help Andy @Revkin, longtime climate journalist and sustainability blogger (at revkin.substack.com), build a living lexicon to identify words, phrases and sometimes numbers that have muddled, multiple or disputed meanings. Through dialogue, differences and definitions can be clarified, misinformation called out, and more productive discourse on solutions pursued.

What watchword (or phrase or number) do you see being misinterpreted, mishandled, underused, etc.? (Please do a separate submission for each.)
Do you have your own preferred definition or clarification - or solution if you're focused on someone else misusing a word?
What's your profession or principle life activity related to sustainability and climate discourse?
Please confirm here that you're willing for me to publish your submission. I will credit you of course. If you prefer not to be named, indicate that here.
