NJ Transit to increase service for NY Yankees ticker-tape parade

In an effort to accommodate fans returning on Friday from the Yankees' ticker-tape parade along the Canyon of Heroes, NJ Transit will add six additional trains departed from New York Penn Station, two each on the Northeast Corridor, New Jersey Coast and Morris & Essex Lines.

Fans looking to access the parade via mass transit can do so by:

  • Taking the PATH train to the World Trade Center stop.
  • Taking a train to New York Penn Station, followed by taking the 1 train downtown to Rector St.; the 2 or 3 train downtown to Park Place; the A or C train downtown to Fulton St.; or the E train downtown to World Trade Center.
  • Taking the bus to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, followed by taking the A or C train downtown to Fulton St., or the E train downtown to World Trade Center.
  • Taking the bus to the George Washington Bridge Terminal, followed by the A train downtown to Fulton St.
