Anatoly KurmanaevTHE prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the death of a two-year-old girl who was sent home four times from the hospital.
Toddler Claudia died from a blood infection after being repeatedly mis-diagnosed by Malaga’s doctors.
Her mother Fanny Moron, 30, first took her daughter to her local health centre in Cartama with symptoms of diarrhoea and nausea but was simply given a rehydration solution.
When the symptoms worsened a month later, Claudia was rushed to Malaga’s hospital three times in 48 hours without receiving proper medical attention.
The case was referred to the prosecutors who have opened a criminal investigation.
The mother has also filed personal criminal charges against two doctors at the Cartama Estacion clinic and one doctor at Malaga’s Hospital Materno.
