Every so often, something comes along that makes you glad history shook out the way it did. Take Twitter, for example. Can you imagine if someone had gotten that bright idea before the widespread adoption of computers and mobile phones? It might have looked something like Martin Kaltenbrunner's Tworse Key — an Arduino-powered Morse code tweet transliterator. It's a portable device that gets online via a standard LAN connection, with the onboard processor interpreting your taps and outputting them via the Twitter API. The engineering is beautifully done, but we suddenly find ourselves a little more grateful for predictive text.
