Sacrificial Magic Book Review

Comes out March 27

I would like to thank Karen for getting to addicted to reading this book series. I fell in love with Terrible and Chess. This is Book number 4.

Chessie is a church witch , and routinely gets rid of ghosts through out the town. She isn't perfect , and has her flaws.  She lives in downside, and gets her drugs from Bump. She has dated Lex from the other side of town. She is seeing Terrible ( who is enforcer for Bump). Chessie has a new case to deal with on Lex's side of town at a school. There is an issue that she helps with Bump with in his part of town. She is also having relationship issues with Terrible too.

Chessie is growing and having many doubts about herself and her relationship with Terrible. She is having to make some big choices throughout this book. We are introduced to Beluah , and Monica , and Chelsea . Some of these characters play a big part in this book. More secrets come to light about other characters.

This book was a roller coaster of emotions. There were times I was at the edge of my seat. This is gritty novel about the bad part of town, and all that happens to it. Yes there are drugs, but she needs them to survive doing what she does. She grew and changed through out this book. This was another great addition to the series and can't wait for the next one. It was so  great to see the all the characters again. I can't wait to see what happens next with Chess and Terrible.

Best Line: The only man she'd ever spent more than a single night were with Lex and Terrible-one of whom she used to touch all the time all the time when they were  generally together to that purpose, and at whom she'd never touched until they started touching in private.

Favorite scene : Chevelle in rain

Book Review = B+
