Feedly Launches a Standalone Webapp, No Extension Necessary

Feedly is one of our favorite RSS readers, but up until now, it's been a browser extension rather than a regular webapp. Today, Feedly is launching Feedly Cloud, the completely standalone web version of Feedly.

As you know, Google Reader is shutting down on July 1st, and we've been pondering where to migrate our feeds. Some of us have held off on jumping to Feedly because it required a browser extension, but that limitation no longer applies. You can now access Feedly Cloud as a regular website from any browser.

The new Feedly Cloud also has an API that's already been integrated with services such as IFTTT and gReader, so you can expect additional ways to keep plugging into your feeds. (Unlike with, you know, that other RSS reader biting the dust.)
