Silicon Valley entrepreneur Ro Khanna continues to outpace fellow Democrat Rep Mike Honda (D-San Jose) in fundraising, reports Politico.
Khanna raised $504,450 in the third quarter. That’s far less than the more than $1 million last quarter, but still more than Honda.
Honda reports raising $385,000 in the third quarter and now has more than $550,000 in his campaign treasury. Khanna as $1.9 million on hand.
He’ll need every bit of it to make up for the lack of name recognition and the 34 points he’s behind in the polls, according to polls commissioned by the Honda campaign.
Most of Honda’s contribution come from people who have donated $100 or less. Khanna’s average donation is close to $1000.
