TEXT: 20 Tools, 20 Minutes Each, to heal from 2020!
This has been probably one of the most troubling times of our lives many of us are still feeling it, terribly.  The bottom has dropped out.  We were sequestered at home for long periods of time.  Many have lost their jobs, lives upended, many sick, many have lost their lives.  This left us longing to hug, and dance, and get back to normal.  We were told to believe this idea and then another.  “Science” of many versions exists, and we have been taunted with which one to believe.  Emotions have been frayed, schools were virtual as were weddings and many family events, if we dared to hold them at all.  And beyond all that, we have been in the midst of probably the most volatile political environment of all time.  And while we are now "coming out of it all", can we really forget and erase all that has been (and still continues for many of us)?
So, how are you doing????
In response to all this, we have been compelled to offer something in an effort to help us all through this dark time.  However, we know we are all stretched so thin now and the thought of making any further commitment to a course or project is enough to send us running and screaming!  This podcast series is offered as a bit of a balm, a way to take control and find our way through this all, with ease & comfort.  Together we will share our own personal ways of working through life, building our own toolboxes with the hope of helping you find more ways to cope and deal and maybe even flourish.

This series is for anyone and everyone trying to get through the todays and anytime, everyday.  In particular, it is for those of us who are caregivers of any sort, those of us who do healing and wellness work, those of us who are trying our best to be positive and shine our lights for others.

Dr. Deb Kern is a health scientist, visionary teacher and guide.  From the rain forest of Costa Rica to the foothills of the Himalayas to the south of India to the jungles of Bali to the shores of Maui to the interior of Mexico, Deb has traveled far and wide to study and apprentice with master teachers, shamans, yogis, herbalists and healers.  Her varied studies and experiences have helped her evolve practices and tools that help women embody the divine feminine and live pleasurable, purposeful, spirit-infused lives.

Dr. Deb’s decades of practice as a health educator, personal trainer, yoga teacher, Nia teacher and yoga therapist combined with her life experiences have given her insights not found in books.  She has observed, time and time again, that when we take actions in our own healing and become aware of the patterns that disconnect body and mind, miracles can occur in every area of our lives—and she adores inspiring others to experience these miracles.

She’s the author of Everyday Wellness for Women and Create the Body Your Soul Desires, creatrix of a healing movement practice called PranaShakti™ Dance and the mom of an amazing young man.

Dr. Kern studied Nursing at Vanderbilt University and holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. In addition, she is a Black Belt Nia Teacher, a certified Integral Hatha Yoga Instructor, a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, and a Mindful Change Coach.
Rosa McAllister is the co-founder of Networks for Training and Development, Inc. (Networks) where she currently acts as Organizational Advisor, historian, staff mentor, and Board liaison to the Cordon, Got Mike!, Las Aguas, and Butterfly Effect Funds as well as Speaking for Ourselves.  Rosa has extensive experience in adaptive and assistive technology, has taught various courses in this area, and has helped many people live fuller more independent lives.

Rosa also has advanced training and much experience in developing non-profits, organizational design and management, board development, and strategic planning and has assisted hundreds of non-profit organizations and community groups in many locations.  Additionally, Rosa is a Licensed Massage Therapist with advanced training in many energy and body work modalities.  Her specialty is assisting those living with grief, anxiety, trauma, pain, and end-of-life issues.
