About this ebook

From New York Times bestselling author Thomas Greanias — A New Adventure and a New Hero

The wait is over for fans of the worldwide bestselling Raising Atlantis novels. Archaeologist Conrad Yeats and Serena Serghetti return for the first time since The Atlantis Revelation in an all-new adventure that introduces adventurer and "exotic matter" tracker Hank Johnson. Their quest takes them to the dark heart of Africa in search of the secret behind King Solomon's gold. But they unleash the curse of the legendary Queen of Sheba and must stop an ancient evil before it destroys the world.

The Alignment: Ingress is your portal into the larger world of Ingress, the new augmented reality experience from Google's own Niantic Labs. Now you too, like Hank Johnson, can track exotic matter or XM, join the Enlightened or Resistance factions, and open your own transdimensional portals around the globe--and glimpse what's on the other side. Visit www.ingress.com to learn how you can experience Ingress for yourself.

As a seasoned Ingress agent, I found this novella entertaining and a good supplement to the developing "story" of the Niantic Project. It did leave me wanting more. Not so much like a good cliffhanger, but maybe a little more background and detail. I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters, but it was still interesting to see Ingress, the Niantic Project and other events come together in this story. I look forward to the next installment to see what may come.

I'm enjoying ingress, ran across a link to the book and decided to give it a shot since the author apparently has written other books that are well liked. Not sure if his other books are this bad too, but this was awful. The plot made no sense, the characters were utterly forgettable, the writing was overwrought, and the product placement was about as subtle as an elephant hiding behind a telephone pole. Move on folks, nothing to see here.

The book is quite well written, but manages to annoy you with too much product placement. I also feel that not much would make sense if you aren't playing Ingress, while it's not "enough" Ingress related if you do. I will not spoil the story, but I can tell you that Hank Johnson and Conrad Yeats are the main characters, and the book switches between following Johnson in one chapter and then Yeats in the next, and then back to Johnson. This makes for a pleasant read, although I personally was hoping to get to know more about other characters of the Ingress universe as well. I suggest reading this if you are really really into Ingress, and want to know everything about these characters.
