Steps to Take

1. Check Your Registration

This year, it’s essential to update your voter registration with your current address. In under one minute, you can make sure you are registered to vote.

2. Make a Plan to Vote Early

Over 99% of Americans have the option to vote early this year, whether by mail or in-person. By casting your ballot early, you are reducing lines on Election Day for everyone else. But many will still choose to vote on Election Day and that’s okay too. Enter your address above to learn more about your options.

3. Research and Cast your Ballot

By entering your address above, you will have the ability to review your ballot once it becomes available. Take time to learn more about your choices but remember, the experience of your life is all you need to make the right decision for you. Don’t miss your chance to be part of history!

4. Wait for Every Vote to Count

After you follow through on your plan, the waiting begins. Given how unusual this year has been, chances are that it will take much longer to count every ballot. But, it’s important for election officials to count the votes of all eligible voters and report accurate results.

About the Campaign

ViacomCBS and The Ad Council partnered in 2020 to drive all eligible voters to cast their ballots. Elections aren't just about choosing a president. They are about choosing local leaders who have a more direct impact on your community, your family, and your life. That’s why we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to get ready to vote.
