These 10 students represent approximately 10% of the Class of 2022. According to the National Merit Scholarship Program, close to two million students compete each year, with approximately 16,000 making it to the semifinal round.  Semifinalists are top scorers on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test/PSAT test in their state.

National Merit finalists will be announced in February with winners named in the spring.  The selection committee reviews student grades, activities and leadership, as well as school information to determine the winners. Scholarships are then awarded from the National Merit Scholarship Program, corporations, colleges and universities.

Although Jack Williams is no longer an EHS student, he too should be counted in Episcopal's success with National Merit. Less than a month at his new high school he too the PSAT and is also a National Merit Commended Scholar. We owe it all to Episcopal. Count him as number 11 in the class of 2022!! Way to go EHS!!
