Bangalore DevDay 2010 - Saturday, February 27, 2010

Summary

In collaboration with Mahiti and the Centre for Internet and Society, Mozilla is organizing an informal developer-oriented conference in Bangalore on February 27, 2010. The Mozilla DevDay will be an opportunity for developers, open source enthusiasts, and web aficionados who live in and around Bangalore, to meet Mozilla staff and learn about the Mozilla Project and its technologies.

The event is free and open to the general public. All sessions will be in english.

Mozilla Labs Hack session

In the afternoon, members of the Mozilla Labs will be hosting a Jetpack Code Session. It starts with getting to meet the Jetpack team, as well as some informal and hands-on lessons in learning to enhance the browser by creating your own jetpack.

Registration

The DevDay is a free conference open to the general public. All interested participants are requested to register by following this link.

Venue

The Bangalore DevDay event will be held at National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) - JRD Tata Auditorium.

Getting to and from the venue

The National Institute of Applied Studies (NIAS) is located near M.S.Ramiah Medical College.

Directions from Hebbal: From Hebbal junction, go straight before BEL Circle (Kuvempu circle) take a LEFT TURN and reach M S R College Road, there you will see M S Ramaiah Medical College, it will be on the right. Pass through the gate and continue until the next gate, M.S.Ramaiah Engineering College gate which is adjacent to NIAS.

From Majestic, take bus 271, 273, (any series) and 99B to M.S. Ramiah bus stop in Mathikere. Ask for M.S. Ramaiah Engineering College gate which is adjacent to NIAS.

Directions from Sadashivnagar Police Station: At the junction you will see the MS Ramaiah Hospital. Go in the gate, and come straight and reach M S R Medical College on the left. Pass through the gate and continue until the next gate, M.S.Ramaiah Engineering College gate which is adjacent to NIAS.

Food & Drink

The event will be catered by a local restaurant called "Hallimane", which serves authentic vegetarian South Indian fare.

All food and drink is kindly being provided by the Centre for Internet & Society.
