Last year, London-born-and-based singer Cosima founded the record label South of Heaven. It’s a power move which ensures she’s completely in control of her own journey – and the master copies of her own tracks.

In February she cemented the label's foundation by releasing “R U Lonely 2?”, a ballad, she told Twitter, channelled from the bottom of her heart. “I’m driven by the desire to tell stories and the want to do that freely and uncensored,” she says. “I don’t write about what I don’t know, which makes life my biggest inspiration; that, and catharsis.”

The label name pays homage to Cosima’s 2016 released mixtape, a project which landed her on pop and R&B radars, bolstered by the release of a 28-minute, self-directed visual counterpart.

The following year she hit a career milestone, when Iggy Pop, “one of my idols”, played and spoke about her 2017 song “Un-Named” on the radio. She’s currently readying the release of her next body of work.
