USA: Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S III in the USA - coming to Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S III in the US market and it did solidified some reports of the US version said to be having a dual-core CPU rather than a quad-core and the RAM, yup, the RAM. I think there is not much of a difference between the international version of the Galaxy S III and the US version even in the design. Well, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon all has the same looking Galaxy S III. If Sprint & US Cellular will have a different design so be it. But so far, it looks like all of them will have the same looking SGS III.

The US version of the SGS III will still run on the same version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and will surely have those killer features like S-Voice and Smart Stay. The main difference is the processor. The US variants will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, so that 4G LTE connectivity is possible. Also, instead of putting 1GB of RAM into the SGS III, Samsung decided they better put 2GB of it in the US version. Everything else in terms of specs are the same with the Galaxy S III they announced back in London.

For pricing, it looks like all of them will be offering the device for $199 or $200 with a 2-year contract with the carrier. But just to make things sure, you can head over to SprintT-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T for their SGS III landing page. US Cellular still has to put theirs up. Verizon will start accepting pre-orders of the device in June 6th. T-Mobile on the other hand has officially said that the SGS III, on their side, will launch in June 21.
