    STEEL

Welcome to the third annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in Pokémon General, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This will be a tournament that lasts several months, where we'll pit almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. After we know the winner of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

If you haven't had the opportunity, please read the Rules/FAQ to find out more about the tournament:

    Spoiler:

NOTE: Because of the limited number of poll spaces, not all eligible Pokémon have been included. If you want to vote for an unlisted Steel-type, check the "Other Pokémon" option represented by a (?), and leave a post with your vote.

Now that you know what the tournament is all about, what are you waiting for? Polls will remain open until November 6th, so get voting!

  • One last note before everyone starts voting- Scizor, Lucario, and the Aggron family are all intentionally missing from this poll, as they won the Bug, Fighting, and Rock type polls respectively. Feel free to vote for them again using the 'Other Pokémon' option, but only the Pokémon listed will be eligible for the finale this time around.

    Happy voting!!

  • Magnemite/Magneton/Magnezone and Klink/Klank/Klinklang - Magnets and gears, that's what steel types should be, floating things that haunt factories.

Skarmory - I just like birds okay? Skarmory is no exception.

Bronzor/Bronzong - These creatures have always looked interesting to me, perfect as mysterious guardians of some ancient legends.

Klefki - I don't know, it's just a lovely little thing, yet can't be underestimated, because it's a fairly strong Pokémon. Many may say a key is a stupid Pokémon idea, but I have to disagree to that.

EDIT: I just noticed all my choices are Pokémon that float or fly. Coincidence?

  • Steel isn't really up there for my favorites...that being said I love Dialga, one of my favorite legendaries ever, and Lucario, one of my all time favorites and thankfully already won one of the groups

Since Aggron already won the Rock poll I'm voting for Skarmory.

  • I've went with Dialga, Cobalion and Bisharp. The former two probably benefit from being legendaries and forming part of my in-game experiences. Dialga was always a presence on my Diamond and Platinum teams which I played a lot. Cobalion effectively solo'd the Elite 4 in Black 2 for me. Both of them have cool designs too. As for Bisharp, I just really like its design, but I've never used one in the games.

  • wai can't it be something easier like water or flying :'(

While I have used(and to a lesser extent liked) a few steel mons, only one has struct me as a favourite, which is Magnezone.

  • It's coincidental the types being featured this week are the only two weaknesses for Fairy-types. That said. here's my fave metallic beings.

Magnemite line: A fan favourite, along with being a powerful attacker.

Mawile: I love this little cutie now that she has Fairy-type and Mega Evolution. It was probably the best buff an underrated Pokemon has ever had.

Jirachi: My fave Hoenn Legendary, and yes I love those Serene Grace abusers.

Empoleon: I loved Piplup's line, and ending in a Steel-type was definitely unexpected and unique.

Dialga: My fave of Sinnoh's legendary mascots, and given I played Diamond first (albeit my brief run being ended by my brother) it was the one I naturally started loving.

Excadrill: An all-time fave of mine, because it's so damn powerful despite its short stature.

Klink line: People think it's a boring Pokemon, but it has its qualities for being a strong offensive and defensive player.

Pawniard line: One with a unique type combination, and a cool design to boot.

Honedge line: How can you not love floating ghost swords? Aegislash also switches between offensive and defensive modes making it unpredictable at times.

Klefki: My affection for Fairy-types made me vote this. It's a great status abuser that definitely makes up for its small size.

  • PROBOPASS!!!

It's my second favourite Pokémon of all time so there's really no contest in this poll. A lot of people hate it for how ridiculous it is but that's exactly why I love it.

  • Metagross
It has always been really good in competitive games.

    Dialga
Roar of time is funny meme.

    Cobalion
It's pretty useful against elite 4 in BW games.

  • Skarmory - Very useful in-game. Also, my favorite spiker.

Aegislash - Haven't used him yet but based on the articles I've read, he's a good competitive pokemon.

Klefki - Very efficient with status moves because of its prankster ability.
